Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the brake caliper clip.
- Remove the 2 brake caliper dust boot caps.
- Remove the 2 brake caliper guide bolts.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) on disc-drum system.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft) on 4-wheel disc brake system.
- Remove the brake caliper and support the brake caliper to the vehicle.
- Remove the inboard brake pad from the brake caliper.
- Remove the outboard brake pad from the brake caliper anchor plate.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Do not allow the brake caliper to hang by the brake caliper jounce hose.
