Rear Door Window Glass Adjustment

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Position the watershield aside.
  3. Connect the window control switch electrical connectors.
  4. Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  5. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
  6. Partially lower the door glass.
  7. Loosen the top regulator nuts a minimum of 3 full threads.

  8. Loosen the 2 rear door glass run bolts a minimum of 3 full threads.

  9. Cycle the glass to the full down position.
  10. Cycle the glass to the full up position.
  11. Inspect the window regulator stud location in the slots on the door inner sheet metal panel and make sure the regulator studs are located at the center of the slots.
  12. With the regulator studs at the center of the slots, tighten the rear door window regulator nuts to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

  13. Tighten the rear door glass run channel bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  14. Verify that the glass is in the correct position. For additional information, refer to WINDOW GLASS - REAR QUARTER .
  15. Cycle the window glass to verify the window functions correctly.
  16. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
  17. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  18. Disconnect the window control switch electrical connectors.
  19. Reposition the watershield.
  20. Install the rear door panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
