NOTE:
To correctly align the doors, adjust the hinges and the door latch striker. Adjusting the hinge affects the positioning of the outside surface of the door frame. Adjusting the door latch striker affects the alignment of the door relative to the weatherstrip and the door closing characteristics.

NOTE:
Check the rear door hinge adjustment before adjusting the front door hinge.
NOTE:
The door should be adjusted for even and parallel fit with the body opening and surrounding panels.
- Measure the clearance between the door and the body.
- Loosen the door latch striker bolts.
- Remove the front seat safety belt retractor. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
- Mark the door hinge-to-body for reference.
- Loosen the door hinge-to-body nuts enough to permit movement.
- Adjust the door as necessary.
- Tighten the door hinge-to-body nuts.
- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- Confirm the correct clearance between the door and the body.
- Install the front seat safety belt retractor. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
- Adjust the door latch striker as necessary.
- Tighten the door latch striker bolts.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Lubricate the hinges and door check arms with multi-purpose grease spray.
