Pinpoint Test V: The SPOTLAMPS Are Inoperative/Always On

  1. V1 DETERMINE IF THE SPOTLAMPS ARE ALWAYS ON 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Observe the spotlamp while turning the switch to the ON and OFF positions.
    • Is the spotlamp always illuminated? 

    Yes  : INSTALL a new spotlamp. REFER to SPOTLAMP . TEST the system for normal operation.

    No  : GO to V2.

  2. V2 CHECK CIRCUIT 931 (OG) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Inoperative Spotlamp.
    • Measure the voltage between the inoperative spotlamp connector, circuit 931 (OG), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 

    Yes  : INSTALL a new spotlamp. REFER to SPOTLAMP . TEST the system for normal operation.

    No  : VERIFY the BJB fuse 108 (20A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
