DTC P1703: Brake Switch Out Of Self-Test Range

P1703 - BRAKE SWITCH OUT OF SELF-TEST RANGE

Description:  Indicates that during KOEO self-test, the BPP signal was high, or during KOER self-test, the BPP signal did not cycle high and low.
Possible Causes: 
  • Open or short in the BPP circuit.
  • Open or short in the stoplamp circuits.
  • Malfunction in the module(s) connected to the BPP circuit.
  • Damaged brake switch.
  • Misadjusted brake switch.
Diagnostic Aids:  Check for proper function of the stoplamps. Follow the correct self-test procedures. Refer to QUICK TEST .

All GO to Pinpoint Test FD . GO to Pinpoint Test FD . -
