DTC P0A1B: Drive Motor A Control Module

P0A1B - DRIVE MOTOR A CONTROL MODULE

Description:  This DTC indicates a drive motor A control module (MCM) internal malfunction.
Possible Causes: 
  • MCM processor malfunction.
  • MCM A/D converter malfunction.
  • MCM supply voltage out of range.
  • TCM-MCM serial link malfunction.
Diagnostic Aids  :
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All See (1) - See (2)
(1) Install a new transaxle. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) .
(2) Clear the transaxle control module (TCM) continuous DTCs. Repeat the self-test. If DTC P0A1A is present again, install a new transaxle. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) .
