DTC P0710: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor A Circuit

P0710 - TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT

Description:  The transaxle control module (TCM) uses the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor to continuously monitor it's temperature. This DTC indicates the malfunction in TFT sensor or circuit.
Possible Causes: 
  • Damaged transaxle.
  • TFT sensor circuit malfunction.
Diagnostic Aids:  Verify the automatic transaxle fluid level is correct. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) .
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory

(1) Verify that automatic transaxle fluid level is correct. If OK, install a new transaxle. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) .
