Front Drive Shaft: Notes

CAUTION: Always disconnect the front drive shaft from the axle first. Carefully pull the drive shaft out of the CV joint housing. Otherwise the weight of the drive shaft can pinch the boot between the shaft and the boot and cause the boot to tear. Tape the bearing cups to the drive shaft to prevent them from falling off of the universal joint.
