Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the front coil spring. For additional information, refer to SPRING .
  2. Loosen the shock absorber upper nut.

  3. Remove the shock absorber lower nut, then slide the shock absorber off the radius arm.

  4. Remove the spring insulator.
    1. Remove the radius arm-to-axle nut and bolt.
    2. Remove the spring retainer and insulator.

  5. Remove the radius arm.
    1. Remove the nut.
    2. Remove the washer and rear insulator.
    3. Pull the radius arm from the bracket, and remove the spacer, insulator and washer.

  6. NOTE: Inspect the bushings and install new bushings as necessary.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
