Removal and Installation

  1. Position the seats as needed to remove the console.
  2. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Remove the floor console storage bin.
    1. Remove the 3 screws and the armrest.
    2. Remove the floor console storage bin screw.
    3. Remove the pin-type retainer.
      • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the floor console front finish panel.
    • Pull upward from the front of the trim panel to release the retainers.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the floor console center finish panel.
  6. If necessary, remove the 2 screws and the floor console cup holder.
  7. Remove the 2 floor console front screws.
  8. Remove the 3 floor console rear screws.
    • To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in ).
  9. NOTE: Lift the console from the rear and slide it rearward to release the rear seat heater ducts from the instrument panel.
  10. Remove the nut and the floor console.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
