Seat Backrest - Rear: Installation

    40 percent backrest 

  1. Position the 40 percent seat backrest in the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Original fasteners must be discarded and new service fasteners installed. Service fasteners can be reused.
  3. Install 2 new 40 percent rear seat backrest bolt and washer assemblies W503942-S424.
    • Tighten to 17 Nm (13 lb-ft).
  4. 60 percent backrest 

  5. Position the 60 percent seat backrest in the vehicle.
  6. NOTE: Original fasteners must be discarded and new service fasteners installed. Service fasteners can be reused.
  7. Install 2 new 60 percent rear seat backrest bolt and washer assemblies W503942-S424.
    • Tighten to 17 Nm (13 lb-ft).
  8. All backrests 

  9. Position the seat cushion in the vehicle.
  10. If equipped, disconnect the heated seat electrical connectors at both outboard sides of the seat cushion.

  11. Align the seat cushion and release the 2 levers located at the lower outboard edges of the seat cushion, press the cushion down and fully seat the seat cushion to the retainers.

  12. Engage the mini-buckle.
  13. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
