Test T: Speed Control Indicator Is Never On
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Navigator and 2002 Ford Expedition. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
After making any repairs, clear DTCs and perform self-test.
- Test drive vehicle and operate speed control system. If speed control operates correctly, go to next step. If speed control does not operate correctly, diagnose and repair as necessary. See CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS article.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect speed control servo 10-pin harness connector C157. Speed control servo is located in left rear corner of engine compartment. Connect a fused jumper wire (5-amp) between C157 terminal No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire) and ground. If speed control indicator illuminates, replace speed control servo and test system operation. If speed control indicator does not illuminate, repair open in Orange/Light Blue wire.
