Removal And Installation: Headliner: Installation

    Installing a new headliner 

    CAUTION: Folding the headliner will result in damage to the headliner.
  1. Carefully position the headliner in the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Adhesive is required for vehicles without a roof opening panel. Adhesive must be applied in two parallel beads with a third bead applied on top to ensure proper contact and adhesion.

  3. Apply 3 beads of headliner adhesive to the headliner following the existing pattern.
  4. Connect the electrical connectors.
  5. Install the headliner.
    • Press the headliner against the roof to make sure the adhesive contacts both surfaces.
  6. Installing an existing headliner 

    CAUTION: Folding the headliner will result in damage to the headliner.
  7. Carefully position the headliner in the vehicle.
  8. Bend the tabs of the rear locator back into their original position.

  10. Apply 3 beads of headliner adhesive to the headliner following the existing pattern.
  11. Connect the electrical connectors.
  12. Install the headliner.
    • Press the headliner against the roof to make sure the adhesive contacts both surfaces.
  13. New or existing headliner 

  14. Install the quarter trim panels.
  15. Install the 2 upper B-pillar trim panels.
  16. Install the 2 A-pillar trim panels.
  17. Position the sun visor clips and install the 2 screws.
  18. Connect the electrical connectors, position the sun visors, and install the 6 screws.
  19. If equipped, position the 3 assist handles and install the 6 screws.
    • If equipped, connect the electrical connector.
    • Install the 6 screw covers.
  20. Install the door weatherstrips.
  21. If equipped, connect the rain sensor electrical connector and install the cover.
  22. Connect the interior rear view mirror electrical connector.
  23. Install driver and passenger front seats. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
