Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  3. Turn the key to the RUN position.
  4. Using a suitable tool, push the tab on the cylinder housing and remove the ignition lock cylinder.
  5. Remove the PATS transceiver screw.
  6. Position the transceiver ring toward the steering column to access the electrical connector.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the PATS transceiver.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
