Removal and Installation

NOTE:
Installation of a new receiver/drier is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the receiver/drier.
- Remove the evaporator core. For additional information, refer to EVAPORATOR CORE in this article.
- Disconnect the evaporator outlet fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the evaporator inlet fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new O-ring seals.
