  1. Disconnect headlight switch 12-pin harness connector C205b. Measure voltage between ground and headlight switch harness connector C205b terminal No. 8 (Dark Blue/Orange wire). See Fig 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Dark Blue/Orange wire. See POWER DISTRIBUTION in appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article ELECTRICAL.
  2. Disconnect multifunction switch 7-pin harness connector C202b. Measure resistance in Red/Yellow wire between headlight switch harness connector C205b terminal No. 9 and multifunction switch harness connector C202b terminal No. 2. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, connect headlight switch harness connector and go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Red/Yellow wire.
  3. Turn headlight switch on. Measure voltage between ground and multifunction switch harness connector C202b terminal No. 2 (Red/Yellow wire). See Fig 2. If battery voltage exists, replace multifunction switch. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage does not exist, replace headlight switch. See HEADLIGHT SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
