Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING  .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
  3. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing and position aside.
  4. Disconnect the coolant pump-to-thermostat housing hose and position aside.
  5. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing and remove the thermostat housing.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING  .
