Removal and Installation

- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
- Remove the 2 thermostat housing retaining bolts and separate the upper and lower thermostat housing.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
- Remove the thermostat and the thermostat O-ring.
- Inspect the thermostat O-ring and install a new O-ring if necessary.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
