Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
- Disconnect the 2 cooling fan motor and shroud electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the coolant control valve jumper harness electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the receiver/drier and bracket and position it aside.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the coolant control valve electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the coolant control valve and position it aside.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
- If equipped, remove the 2 bolts and the auxiliary coolant pump.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (79 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 bolts and the cooling fan motor and shroud.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
