Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING  .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
  3. Disconnect the upper coolant bypass hose from the coolant outlet pipe and position aside.
  4. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connector from the front fuel injector.
  5. Remove the 2 bolts and the coolant outlet pipe.
    • Inspect the 2 coolant outlet pipe O-ring seals and install new seals if necessary.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING  .
