Exhaust Manifold - LH: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Remove the LH lower splash shield.
Disconnect the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.

Disconnect the RH catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector.

NOTE: Loosening the 2 Torca® clamp nuts will ease the removal of the RH catalytic converter.

Loosen the 2 Torca® clamp nuts.
Remove the 2 RH catalytic converter-to-exhaust manifold nuts and remove the RH catalytic converter.
Remove the 3 bolts and the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Remove the 6 nuts and the exhaust manifold.
- Discard the nuts.
- Remove and discard the gasket.
Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
Remove the 6 exhaust manifold studs and discard.
