Exhaust Manifold - LH: Installation

- Install the 6 new exhaust manifold studs.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Position a new gasket and the exhaust manifold. Install the new nuts and tighten in the sequence shown in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
- Position the exhaust manifold heat shield and install the 3 bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the RH catalytic converter and the 2 catalytic converter-to-exhaust manifold nuts.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Tighten the 2 Torca® clamp nuts.
- Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Connect the RH catalytic monitor sensor electrical connector.
- Connect the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
- Install the LH lower splash shield.
NOTE:
To make sure of a seal, the manifold bolts must be tightened to the same specification 2 times.
