Valve Train Analysis - Engine Off, Valve Tappet

Valve tappet noise can be caused by any of the following:
- excessive valve tappet shim gap
- excessive valve guide wear
Excessive collapsed valve tappet shim gap can be caused incorrect initial adjustment or wear of valve tappet shim face.
