Power Steering Pump to Steering Gear Pressure Line: Removal

CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Remove the 4 pin-type retainers, the screw and remove the air deflector.

Remove the 3 pin-type retainers and the LH splash shield.

Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector.
Disconnect the pressure line fitting and discard the Teflon® seal.
- Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
Remove the power steering line retainer bracket bolt.

Remove and discard the steering line clamp plate bolt.
Rotate the steering line clamp plate and remove the pressure line.

Discard the O-ring seal
