Power Steering Pump to Steering Gear Pressure Line: Removal

CAUTION:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the 4 pin-type retainers, the screw and remove the air deflector.
- Remove the 3 pin-type retainers and the LH splash shield.
- Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector.
- Disconnect the pressure line fitting and discard the Teflon® seal.
- Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
- Remove the power steering line retainer bracket bolt.
- Remove and discard the steering line clamp plate bolt.
- Rotate the steering line clamp plate and remove the pressure line.
- Discard the O-ring seal
