Power Steering Pump to Steering Gear Pressure Line: Installation

  1. Install a new O-ring seal on the pressure line.
  2. Install the pressure line to the steering gear and rotate the steering line clamp plate into position.
  3. Install a new steering line clamp plate bolt.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Install the power steering line retainer bracket bolt.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  5. Using the special tool, install a new Teflon® seal on the pressure line fitting.

  6. Install the pressure line fitting.
    • Tighten to 33 Nm (24 lb-ft).
  7. Connect the PSP switch electrical connector.
  8. Install the LH splash shield and the 3 retainers.

  9. Install the air deflector, the 4 pin-type retainers and the screw.

  10. Fill the power steering system. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
