Removal and Installation

NOTE:
The adjustable pedal assembly is shown; the fixed pedal assembly is similar.
- Remove the steering column. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
- Remove the speed control deactivator switch. For additional information, refer to SPEED CONTROL .
- Remove the stoplamp switch. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
- Remove the 2 switch bracket screws and position the switch bracket aside.
- Remove the self-locking clip from the brake booster rod pin.
- Remove the brake booster rod pin from the brake booster rod.
- Position the brake pedal booster rod and bushing off the brake pedal.
- If equipped with adjustable pedals, disconnect the adjustable pedal motor electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 brake booster nuts.
- To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 upper brake pedal bracket bolts.
- To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
- Remove the brake pedal and bracket assembly from the vehicle.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
