Removal and Installation

NOTE: The electronic parking brake (EPB) system must be reset following the EPB system reset procedure if the battery has been disconnected. Refer to ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) RESETTING  in the diagnostic article .
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Release the floor console finish panel cup holder from the floor console finish panel and position it aside.
  3. Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector from the parking brake switch.
  4. Remove the 4 parking brake switch screws.
  5. Release the parking brake switch from the floor console finish panel cup holder.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
