Parking Brake Cable: Removal

LH shown, RH is similar.
- Release the tension on the parking brake cables by, connecting the diagnostic tool to the vehicle and following the diagnostic tool instructions to slacken the electronic parking brake cables.
- Separate the parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake equalizer.
- Release the parking brake cable and conduit from the subframe.
- Release the parking brake cable end from the brake caliper parking brake lever.
- Release and separate the parking brake cable and conduit from the brake caliper.
- Remove the parking brake cable and conduit bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
- Remove the parking brake cable and conduit from the vehicle.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
