Parking Brake Cable: Removal

NOTE: LH shown, RH is similar.
  1. Release the tension on the parking brake cables by, connecting the diagnostic tool to the vehicle and following the diagnostic tool instructions to slacken the electronic parking brake cables.
  2. Separate the parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake equalizer.
  3. Release the parking brake cable and conduit from the subframe.
  4. Release the parking brake cable end from the brake caliper parking brake lever.

  5. Release and separate the parking brake cable and conduit from the brake caliper.

  6. Remove the parking brake cable and conduit bracket bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
  7. Remove the parking brake cable and conduit from the vehicle.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
