Normal Operation

The electronic parking brake (EPB) system applies and releases the parking brake cables using an electric motor and gear connected to the parking brake cables. The cable ends are connected to the rear disc brake caliper lever. The lever applies and releases the brake piston toward or away from the rear disc.
