Pinpoint Test B: DTC B2358: ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH FAILURE

  1. B1 CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH REARWARD 
    • Disconnect: Adjustable Pedal Switch C2089.
    • Press the adjustable pedal switch REARWARD and measure the resistance between the adjustable pedal switch C2089-3, circuit 32-AL19 (WH/GN), component side, and C2089-4, circuit 31-AL19A (BK/GN), component side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to  B2.
    • No  : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. B2 CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH FORWARD 
    • Press the adjustable pedal switch FORWARD and measure the resistance between the adjustable pedal switch C2089-7, circuit 34-AL19 (BU/BK), component side, and C2089-4, circuit 31-AL19A (BK/GN), component side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to  B3.
    • No  : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. B3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31-AL19A (BK/GN) FOR AN OPEN 
  4. Measure the resistance between the adjustable pedal switch C2089-4, circuit 31-AL19A (BK/GN), harness side, and ground.

  5. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
