Removal and Installation

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES article .
  2. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

  3. Detach the sensor harness from the brake hose.

  4. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can result.

  5. Remove the bolts and position the caliper, pads and anchor plate aside.
  6. Remove the eight nuts, the hub extender and the brake disc.

  7. Remove the nuts, and the hub and bearing.

  8. If necessary, remove the bolt and the sensor.

  9. CAUTION: Make sure that the wheel hub and brake disc mounting surfaces are clean.
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
