Fuel Pump: Installation

- Install a new O-ring seal and the fuel pump module.
- Using the special tool, install the fuel pump module locking ring.
- Connect the vapor tube fitting. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Install the fuel tank. For additional information, refer to FUEL TANK .
NOTE:
The fuel pump module must be handled carefully to avoid damage to the float arm and filter.
NOTE:
Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
NOTE:
The fuel pump module locking ring is a cam-type lock. Turn the locking ring until it stops and is locked in place.
