Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  3. Remove the 3 bolts and the lower steering column shroud.
  4. Position the ignition lock cylinder seal aside.
  5. Disconnect the PATS transceiver electrical connector.
  6. Remove the 4 screws and position the wiring harness shroud aside.
  7. Remove the PATS transceiver screw.
  8. Remove the PATS transceiver.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
