TEST B: DTCs B1990 & B2275 PEDAL FORWARD/REARWARD FEEDBACK CIRCUIT FAULT

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood and 2002 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Move adjustable pedals to a central position. Connect scan tool to DLC connector. Following scan tool manufacturer's instructions observe the DSM pid PDL_POS while moving the pedals switch forward and rearward. If pid value decreases when moving forward and increases when moving rearward, replace DSM and test system operation. If pid values do not decrease when moving forward and increase when moving rearward, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect DSM connector A341c and adjustable pedals motor connector C2003. Measure voltage between harness connector C2003 terminals No. 2 (Light Blue/Yellow wire), No. 1 (Orange/White wire), and No. 8 (Orange/Red wire) and ground. See Fig 1. If battery voltage is present on any check, repair short to power on corresponding wire and test system operation. If battery voltage is not present on any check, go to next step .
  3. Measure resistance between adjustable pedals motor harness connector C2003 terminals No. 2 (Light Blue/Yellow wire), No. 1 (Orange/White wire) and No. 8 (Orange/Red wire) and ground. See Fig 1. If all resistances are greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If any resistance is less than 10k/ohms, repair short to ground in corresponding wire and test system operation.
  4. Measure resistance between DSM harness connector A341c and adjustable pedals motor harness connector C2003 terminals No. 2 and No. 15 (Light Blue/Yellow wires), No. 1 and No. 3 (Orange/White wire) and No. 1 and No. 8 (Orange/Red wire). See Figure and Fig 1 . If all resistances are less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in corresponding wire and test system operation.
  5. Disconnect adjustable pedals motor harness connector C2003. Measure resistance between harness connector C2003 terminals No. 1 (Orange/White wire) and No. 2 (Light Blue/Yellow wire). Also measure resistance between connector C2003 terminals No. 2 (Light Blue/Yellow wire) and No. 3 (Orange/Red wire) component side. See Fig 1. Resistances should be 5400 ohms harness side and 3700 ohms on component side. If resistances are as stated, replace DSM and test system operation. If resistances are not as stated, replace adjustable pedals motor and test system operation.
