Adjustable Brake Pedal

NOTE: The brake pedal and accelerator pedal must be in the same position when installing a new pedal or cable. Fully forward (toward front of vehicle) or fully rearward (toward driver).
  1. Move adjustable pedals to fully forward position (toward front of vehicle). Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove brakelight switch retaining clip and electrical connector and remove switch. Slide brake booster push rod off of pedal pin. Remove brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable from accelerator pedal. Disconnect adjustable pedals motor electrical connector. Remove brake pedal spring. Remove brake pedal nut and bolt and remove brake pedal.
  2. NOTE: Ensure that bushings are on the ends of pivot pin. Ensure brake pedal spring is loaded before installing.
  3. Install brake pedal nut and bolt. Install brake pedal spring. Connect brake pedals motor connector. Connect brake pedal-to-accelerator cable to accelerator. Connect negative battery cable. Position accelerator in same position as new brake pedal (fully forward or fully rearward) using adjustable brake pedal motor. Disconnect brake pedal-to-accelerator cable from accelerator pedal. Move brake pedal only to same position as accelerator (fully forward or fully rearward). Install brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable to accelerator pedal. Install stoplight switch.
