Adjustable Accelerator Pedal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood and 2002 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: The brake pedal and accelerator pedal must be in the same position when installing a new pedal or cable. Fully forward (toward front of vehicle) or fully rearward (toward driver).
  1. Move adjustable pedals to fully forward position (toward front of vehicle). Remove brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable from accelerator pedal. Disconnect accelerator cable from accelerator pedal. Remove 3 bolts and remove accelerator pedal assembly.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Before connecting brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable, move brake pedal to same position as new accelerator pedal assembly (fully forward or fully rearward) using adjustable pedal motor. Install brake pedal-to-accelerator cable to accelerator pedal.
