Removal and Installation

- Remove the master cylinder. For additional information, refer to HYDRAULIC BRAKE ACTUATION .
- Disconnect the brake booster solenoid electrical connector.
- Disconnect the brake booster transducer electrical connector.
- Disconnect the electrical harness connector bracket from the brake booster housing,
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
- Remove the redundant self-locking pin cover and the self-locking pin.
- Position the brake stoplamp switch aside.
- Remove the brake stoplamp switch bushing, spacer and the brake booster push rod.
- Remove the brake booster nuts and the booster.
- To install, tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Use new nuts when installing the brake booster.
