Removal and Installation

  1. Release the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE .
  2. Disconnect the intermediate cable from the LH rear cable at the cable equalizer.
  3. Disconnect the front of the LH rear cable conduit at the frame bracket.
  4. Remove the wire form retainer bolt from the lower arm.
    • To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
  5. Disconnect the LH parking brake cable from the parking brake lever and remove the cable from the vehicle.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Test the parking brake system for correct operation.
