Removal and Installation

CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
  1. Using a suitable suction device, drain the power steering fluid reservoir.
  2. Remove the 3 fluid reservoir bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  3. Release the reservoir-to-pump hose clamp and remove the hose.
  4. Release the power steering fluid cooler-to-reservoir hose clamp and disconnect the hose.
  5. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
