Removal and Installation

CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Release the 2 fluid cooler hose clamps and disconnect the hoses.
    • Allow the power steering fluid to drain into a suitable container.
  3. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the power steering fluid cooler.
    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
