Removal and Installation

  1. Clamp off the heater hoses at the heater control valve inlet and outlet.
  2. Disconnect the 2 inlet and outlet heater hose clamps.
  3. Remove the heater control valve bolt.
  4. Disconnect the heater control valve vacuum hose.
  5. Remove the heater control valve.
  6. NOTE: Lubricate the coolant hoses with plain water only if needed.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  8. Fill the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
