Stub Shaft Pilot Bearing & Seal: Removal

Remove axle shaft assembly. See AXLE SHAFTS . To remove the stub shaft seal only, use Torque Converter Fluid Seal Remover (307-309, T94P-77001-BH) and Slide Hammer (100-001, T50T-100-A). See Fig 1 . To remove the bearing and seal use the slide hammer and Transfer Case Bearing Cup Remover (308-125, T87P-7120-D) and remove the stub shaft pilot bearing and seal. See Fig 2 .
