Axle Shafts: Removal

Remove the rear coil spring. See REAR article in SUSPENSION. Remove and discard the nut. Remove the nut and separate the lower ball joints. Using the Front Hub Remover (205-D070, D93P-1175-B), separate the axle shaft from the knuckle. See Fig 1 . Using the CV Joint Puller (205-241, T86P-3514-A), remove the axle shaft. See Fig 2 .
