Removal and Installation

With the ignition ON, press the 4x4 HIGH button on the mode select switch (MSS).
With the transmission in the NEUTRAL position, raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Disconnect the transfer case shift motor harness connector.

Remove the bracket bolt and transfer case shift motor mounting bolts and remove the transfer case shift motor.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply a coat of multi-purpose grease to the transfer case shift motor.
