Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor: Removal

    All vehicles 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to the JACKING AND LIFTING .

    2. 4x4 vehicles 

  2. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the transfer case.

  3. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the front differential.

  4. Remove the front driveshaft from the vehicle.

    5. All vehicles 

  5. Remove the shift cable and bracket.

  6. Disconnect the turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor electrical connector.

  7. Remove the TSS sensor.
    1. Remove the TSS sensor screw.
    2. Remove the TSS sensor from the transmission.
      • Inspect the TSS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.
