Extension Housing Gasket - 4x2: Installation

  1. Clean the extension housing and install new extension housing gasket. Make sure that the park pawl is installed correctly.

  2. CAUTION: Make sure the parking lever actuating rod is correctly seated into the case parking rod guide cup.
  3. Install the extension housing.
    • Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

  4. Install the transmission support insulator and lower the transmission onto the transmission support insulator.

  5. Install the transmission support insulator bolts.
    • Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

  6. Install the transmission support insulator nuts.
    • Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

  7. Install the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT .
  8. Carry out fluid level check. For additional information, refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL CHECK .
