Oil Pan: Removal

  1. Remove the front axle, if equipped. For additional information, refer to FRONT DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL - DANA 30 .
  2. Remove the stabilizer bar. For additional information, refer to FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X2 or FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X4 .
  3. Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil. Install the drain plug when finished.
    • Tighten to 14 Nm (10 lb-ft).

  4. Remove the bolts, the oil pan and the gasket.
    • Discard the gasket.
