Exhaust Manifold - RH: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Remove the RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  3. Loosen the exhaust manifold-to-exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module tube fitting and disconnect the tube from the exhaust manifold.
  4. Remove the 4 RH and LH Y-pipe-to-exhaust manifold flange nuts.
  5. Loosen the RH transmission mount bolt. Detach the Y-pipe from the manifolds.

  6. Remove the 3 bolts and the heat shield.
  7. Remove the 8 nuts, the exhaust manifold and the gaskets.
    • Discard the gaskets.
