Exhaust Manifold - RH: Installation

  1. Position new gaskets and the exhaust manifold and install the nuts finger tight.
  2. Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts in the sequence shown in Fig 1 to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

  3. Position the heat shield and install the bolts.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Attach the Y-pipe to the manifolds and install the 4 nuts
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  5. Tighten the RH transmission mount bolt to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).

  6. Connect the exhaust manifold-to-EGR system module tube.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  7. Install the RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
