Exhaust Manifold - LH: Installation

  1. Position new gaskets and the intake manifold and install the nuts.
  2. Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts in the sequence shown in Fig 1 to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

  3. Install the heat shield and the bolts.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Attach the Y-pipe to the manifolds and install the 4 nuts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  5. Position the lower steering column shaft and install the pinch bolt.
    • Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

  6. Install the LH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
